V 0.1.5 Release Notes


Version 0.1.5 is now available for release! In this post is the official notes for the version, as well as a few new things from the pre-release notes:

This Update Features:

- 1 New Map
- Difficulty balance changes for all difficulties
- punctuation fixes
- enemy balance on the first few levels
- 3 new unique sprites
- 4 new animations from the wonderful Dankboi68

-  The next map will be called "Thunder and Fire". You may have seen the teaser for it in the previous post, this is only the first half of the map- the 2nd half will feature a seamless phase transition.  Expect some big story moments, and the map itself will be far larger and feature more deadly enemies.

- There will be a new opening scene before the first Celonia map, "Celonia 1-1". This should help slow things down a tad and introduce some more time with the main crew.

- Opening Scene overhaul: The opening intro before the tutorial now features a larger world map, to help you digest the world a tad better. It will also have some graphics for Theodore and Cedric when their names are mentioned. 

- Theodore now has a fancy new map sprite with his devilishly handsome purple hair. This won't be reflected in the combat animations quite yet unfortunately. 

- Benedicta is now sporting a realistic knight's armor, helmetless. She should stand out quite a bit, and definitely take the enemy's attention as the main tank.

- Tristan now has a slightly modified sprite that removes the ponytail that he does not have in his portrait, and changes his hair to red.

- Three new songs: One Day At a Time, Drowned By Rain and Wilted Rose. Drowned By Rain is already available on the OST as track 15, and the other two are now released as the 15th as Tracks 16 and 17 respectively. They will also be added to the Sound Room.

Fixes:

- Fixed Benedicta's portrait in the tutorial. 

- Adjusted enemy strength stats on the first level to be more fair. 

- Adjusted higher difficulties to be LESS forgiving.

- Fixed the capitalization mistakes on "I, I'm, I've" conjunctions.

- Closed a few doors in the first map that didn't have events.

Just an unfortunate reminder that due to how SRPG Studio projects work, there is no seamless way to "update" the project. I apologize, but each version is essentially going to be it's own game and will reset your progress. I wish there is a way to fix this, and if I find one I'll begin adapting it immediately.
